I expected more, but I was pleased with the performance. I was so happy to see some of the old divas come back. Yes, they still have it. If I had to choose between Pam, Whit, and Mig, I would go with Pam, I think she would bring more diversity in the field shows and stands. Sis was no joke when she was BBS.
The Divas were absolutely gorgeous back in the day. I just wish they were more original. They were in sync and way more polished, nonetheless.
It was great seeing all of the ladies of the past this weekend (especially seeing captains 1-4 all together). Granger is doing a great job with the current ladies. If she ever decides to leave the next sponsor will have big shoes to fill. She has invested tons of time and dedication into the squad and their legacy vs their predecessor "Ship Dog". The caliber of dancer has greatly improved/increased as far as technical abilities. If Whitney were ever to become sponsor in the years to come, she'd uphold the strong technical aspects (she still actively practices pointe, lyrical, modern jazz and ballet). Pam would have them strong as well but glam, edgy and sassy. Mignon (Mindy) wouldn't consider because she lives in California and is invested in her career. I think Domonique would be a great choice as well, she was slept on as a diva but was always very well put together.
Agreed with everything you stated. I always wondered who would be next in line if Granger left. I agree pam, whitney or mignon would be great selections. How long do you see Granger staying around???? I'm telling you the divas are here and what's scary is the talent pool that is interested in them and that wants to be diva has drastically improved.

Mine is a tie between Mignon and Whitney with a slight edge to Whitney. The girl danced for the Gawds and was Technical and on point.
Mignon gave me puss and grace. She changed the Divas for the better in 2003 cuz babyyyy, they were a disgrace in 2002 and earlier.
I love Pam too. She was sassy and cheerful.
Granger is cool, but I want to see the 2006 girls take over.
the divas have progressed greatly over the years. at one point, a&m had twirlers, divas, and maroonettes (sp) on the fields, which was a big distraction back in the day because the divas were somewhat overlooked.
all of the alumni looked great at homecoming. pam, Whitney, and mignon all had great dance careers at a&m. I always would see Whitney on campus and would smile at her little sexy seld. had a few classes with Jocelyn.
I think pam would do a do an awesome job with the girls
Probably ten years. Shipman was over them for about 11 years. I see Granger doing the same. She took them over in 2010 so she may decide to be out in 2020. It's a very demanding job with very low pay, crazy hours, long hours, various obstacles/attitudes. It's also very unappreciated at times. It takes dedication which she has definitely shown. She has elevated them greatly in terms of dance and the talent that comes through is very deep and amazing/breath taking.

I know Whit, she's a beautiful person and would do the Divas right. I think that the Divas wouldn't be as sassy and would become to technical which could bore. My pick would be Pam, I think she would give us a full balance of technique, sass, and sexy, just as we see now. Whit or Pam would both have the Divas on point at all times, because those ladies never have an off day when it comes to hair, makeup, and dressing. Baby Ms. Whit shows up to an 8am lab beat down and dressed up. LOL
