Well, everytime I'm in the middle of band practicing, I always get a mean headaches. It goes aways after the band stops, and returns when they start playing. Is something wrong with me? lol

When we were practicing for Prof. Edwards' funeral, that noise in the bandroom had my ears ringing for DAYS. I forgot to bring my earplugs with me, and I paid the price. I was taking Ibuprofen for days...

it can also be the way you are playing....pushing air harder than you are projecting it....if this is so, just try and push out a smooth flow of air without making your head explode
i agree cause i am a saxophone player and it happens to me from time to time

That makes sense, considering I'm extremely RUSTY after starting back up. But it doesn't happen when I'm playing alone and at the same intensity! Just when the band is playing. And it's been like that in every ensemble I've played in.(well marching ensemble) But it's something to practice on so thanks!
