I know pretty much everyboby has heard about conference merges and teams moving from conference to conference next season (SEC, Big 12, Pac 10, Big 10, etc.) sooooo..............what band(team) would you love to have added to your conference?

I think Southern, Grambling, Jackson State, FAMU, Tennessee State, Alabama State, and South Carolina State should look into moving up into the FBS-division and creating a new powerful HBCU conference. After stadium improvements for football are made at BCU, PVAMU, and Texas Southern, then we could look to add them as well. Our records won't be too bad because we could play 8 or 9 conference games, play 2 powerful BCS schools for money, and play 2 FCS HBCU teams. For example:

at Alabama State
at FAMU

at Jackson State
vs Alcorn (Homecoming)
vs Bethune-Cookman
vs Prairie View A&M
At Texas Southern

We will leave the whole SWAC and MEAC and create a new conference name, logo, and identity. The remaining SWAC schools, MVSU, Alcorn and AAMU could join the MEAC to replace FAMU, BCU, SCSU, and UAPB could go join the OVC or Southland conference.

While we would get destroyed by Texas and LSU, we would get a lot of money toward building our program up to the next level, plus the other 10 games would be against teams closer to our level. The Sun Belt, MAC, C-USA, and WAC teams do the same thing.

What is crazy, Southern, Grambling, Tennessee State, FAMU, Howard, South Carolina State, and Jackson State were actually looking at doing something like this in the early 90's but they didn't make the move(I still don't see how Howard was involved in this). Maybe they can revisit this thought again(while replacing Howard).
If it did happen, we would have good matchups at every game both team and band wise.
