Why do some, male brass players have a problem with female brass players?

Why are some, male brass players so hard on female brass players?

The first female b-tone player to go to southern and be in the btone section came from my school, Martin L. king hs....my school is also known for excellent female brass players...and all of them well most of them including me are beasting on a whole lot of males.

Some people are just sexist, I know a female on tuba that could smash an ample amount of males, and I got nothing but respect for her so I guess it just has to do with the person your dealing with or the situation, no one likes to lose and I guess when they see a female doin they thing on a horn they get sensitive or whatever, thats what I think anyway. If you doin yo thing on a horn gender shouldn't be a factor.

aaron shut up lol....i dont look for any guy approval i know im on my stuff...im just asking why do some males have a problem with female brass players if you read the question carefully.

Does it really matter if a dude has a problem with a female brass player? As long as that female is on her stuff, she shouldn't have to worry about what ANYONE says. When someone, female or male, asks this question, it makes people wonder if that person is insecure about their own playing abilities. BTW...before you ask, I play the trumpet so trust...I know what I'm talkin about...
