Halftime is Battle-Time. ..(spin off of pats comment in the no 5ths thread)

pats question was. What if there were no halftimes ..it made me thing about this

The truth about Halfime is... It doesn't Have to be 2 fieldshows.. it just seems like the proper thing to do..

It could actually be used to set both bands on the field . face each other and Blow head to head for 15/20 minutes.  that would be pretty much a great thing to do. dont you think? lol

Truthfully these bands only do maybe 5 Halftime shows a year and the rest are just remixed versions of what they did in previous shows .... why not spend 1 game  cranking face to face on the field?

band directors would have to agree on that kind of battle to make it happen. right?.

    If it wasn't for hafltime, there will be no need for parades(Rosebowl, Macy's, Presidential Inaugural Parades, No Super Bowls halftime performances, No Commercials that feature HBCU Bands, No Sugar Bowl halftime performances, No All Star Football or NBA Allstar Game performances, no HBCU band would be in the NCAA Hall of Champions or probably been on any tv. Games will be scares, people will go eat for halftime instead of sit and watch. Games will be boring as hell. No Honda which i don't care for anyway. Halftime gets the HBCU's bands the giggs and the expposure. There is no way getting around it. Halftime is more important than the 5th.

    lol.. That would be too much heat for some bands... but only for bandheads... lol

    this I agree with you on....and it actually displays the marching bands level of competency in most areas...

    It wouldn't be entertaining to majority of the people in the stands, now to the bandheads yes but majority no, hell they go to their cars during halftime and just listen to music for that or they could just pump music on the pa system in the stadium if that was the case.

    Halftime is what makes you know the names, Aristocrats of Bands, Human Jukebox, World Famed, Sonic Boom. Those names wouldn't be even valid if there wasn't halftime.

    man,.. that shit was fun in 07 though.,.. JSU and TxSU crunk up the WHOLE halftime... and dipped after... great game in my eyes!!!!
