i was the 1st latino WT drummer(Jackson State drumline) and many people thought i was white.....at 1st, people will say its akward to see a person of different color in the drumline....but when you go through the process right, you will have the most respect and people will be on your nuts
Yea Big Tim, was white and the 06 and i think 07 trumpet sec leader, and couple years back it was a white dude in the trombone and f horn section, so its definitely possible, and white ppl are always welcome at hbcu's it jus used to be a time when it didnt work the other way around, but by the way alexander, bruh wat percussion instrument u play?

my answer to you is to hold your own and everything will be cool. I was Section Leader for 3 years at PV, and Student arranger and director, and the first white bruh in Kappa Kappa Psi at PV. so do ur thing man.
I feel that attending a HBCU isn't a privilege that is exclusive only to black folks. Get your school fees paid, go to class, and graduate. It's just that simple. Race shouldn't even be an issue.
