So Eastern Senior High School Marching band had Traveled from DC to Louisianan for a Gym Battle Against McKinley Senior High School.
The battle got Kind of Crazy towards the end (if you know the Pantherettes, you understand what i mean)

Come on and put on for DC Gems! This was a very intense battle. Both teams showed up and showed out! The gems are truly a battle team, I will say that.
Chile, this battle was epic! Semaya had me SHOOK. She's definitely not afraid to get in someone's face and complete opposite from Jada. I lowkey thought it was going to be a brawl. Very intense. I wonder if Dani and Lashaln had to have a little talk with her afterward? Shit definitely could of went left lol.
Did yall here them grown men (Eastern's side) calling the Pantherettes bitches and stuff? So uncalled for. I mean, they're only in HS.

This really disappointed me, MCK was giving me that Doll Pose stance as if they were about to do a nice SU style Floor routine. but, after i heard yet another Rap tune from the band. i literally hit fast forward.. apparently, MCK dont know about Gym battles as people were wondering why EHS was moving the chairs on their side.

I'm a fan of a good battle, however I'm not a fan of that kind of behavior. That could've easily turned into a brawl that could've injured people. Overall I think the Gems won. They were more controlled and relaxed in the environment (I attribute that to them being more seasoned to gym battles and being more of a battle squad). I like the Prettes, however this was a pretty big change for them, from what I'm used to seeing (and yes I know they're in high school, but that's where the foundation for many will start). They kind of lost form and were rough in certain areas. I hope this new captain will be able to tone it down a little when the season begins. I understand their evolution and their breaking away from the Doll style, however, they still must stay in character at all times. They are a very talented and pretty squad, and could've won on looks alone. Even if someone is taunting you, a battle can be won by being un-bothered and classy.

The band got invited last minute to the Botbs at the SU Mini Dome with Police Escort from MCK to the event. Esorted inside the dome, played 3 songs and then got kicked out for "Disorderly conduct". you be the judge.
