if u were a band director at your favorite band or who u march for or a band who has been down what would u change. EXAMPLE: if i was director at jsu i would bring all crabs and upper classmen to band camp at the same time an start with the basics of marching this will be done so the band as a whole can be together an go back to the jsu we grown to love on the field.

Dont laugh but i would to be director of Grambling or Alabama A&M. I thini both of have so much potential but lack consistency. I like their traditions and the fact that they both have have identity.
I would do the following:
Instead of crab camp, have leadership predrill before full band comes in
new arrangements
Cleaner drilling
Addition of percussion feature. Wouldnt it be cool to see Chocolate Thunder showout in the middle of a show?

i think gsu drills are better than alot of the swac drills since 07 they been drilling.,but not consistent SO TRUE. Aamu idk what happen to them shows an arrangements.

and too look back if u go on my page i havent said anything bad about JSU you must be talking about some one else the proof on my page. I gave jsu props yearly but field did i say not gud. Yes. Along with u an otha jsu ppl but ccc umm naw never did AND I HAVE NO THREADS ABOUT JSU SMH. And 1% umm naw...but as i said i dont dog bands. U do that yearly bruh but let u see sumthing small bout jsu its all bad.
I attend Central Michigan University and if I were the director up here, first and foremost I would push for more diversity within the ENTIRE music program here. Plainly put: there aren't enough minorities for this program to claim that it's diverse. The only music professors that are of minority are like 2 asian professors. I'm not bashing my school at all. I'm just saying.. we need more of a mix up here. Secondly up here, 2 years of marching is required for the Music Ed. Major, but none is required for the Performance kids. I'd change that forsure. Third, I'd add more outside of school performances and request to go to away games. This upcoming season, we have 7 home games. Last season we only went to one away game opposed to going to at least 3. We claim to be "The best damn band in the land" but how is that so if the "land" has never seen us? We should march in the Detroit Thanksgiving parade. We should do a bunch of other things, and drop all of the pointless things.
