  • I dont mean to be rude, but in this time of people dying and this world going crazy, the LAST thing we want and need to hear about is some random ladies SISTER passing away.

I will pray for her, but please dont present random things like this as news...cause it quickly becomes OVERKILL!

I certainly hope you dont take this the wrong way, but very few people in the band world knows the people that passed away. I, myself, am tired of turning on my tv and radio and hearing about all these people dying and stuff. and then watching the news and more death.

The last thing I want is to log into Bandhead.org and be told about some ladies SISTER passing away, of who has no significance or connection to anything related to the band world.

what im saying is...PLEASE DONT REPORT EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THE SOUTH THAT DIES. we are all tired of it being thrown in our faces.

    • Jason, That had got to be the dumbest post ever. When some passes you respect the family and none of that other lip service. Cause you post is total disrespectful period. People have posted all the time on passings

  • Naw nor dumb at all. Just being painfully honest. and I knew it wouldnt come across like I intended..but its true.

It's pointless to come on here and post these random deaths of people of which we know absolutely nothing about.

Band directors? OK    school presidents? OK   band members? OK     some sponser's sister/friend? not neccesary bro.

ESPECIALLY in this time that most of us are losing not only celebrities, but our personal loses as well. sometimes u just get tired of death being thrown in our faces all the time...the news, the radio, the television, etc.    give it a rest bro..

  • I completely understand where jason is coming from. No disrespect, but this isn't really the place for that. Kevin, people do post about deaths on here but it's more of a direct figure that's impacted the band world, i.e. Mr. Knighten (RIP). If we made a post for every time a person in the band world has a relative die we would have one everyday. Like jason said, it become overkill so I didn't feel it was a dumb statement at all. And this is coming from a current Sonic Boom member who loves Ms. Worthy. Now with that being said, prays go out to her and her family.....

  • That is so disrespectful for people to say something negative about this post. I think thats the problem with our community we alway bitter and be quick to down another african american but i dont think its wrong for him to put that she was a member of a dance team in the college band world. The title do let you know someone either sick or has passed away. If you feel that way you dont have to click on the topic. Its your option to look at this its not like its on the main page or an intro to the website. I bet if it was madonna, beyonce, nicki minaj the same ones who saying this not the place for this would be the main one writing "omg rest in peace nicki" smdh but my prayers is with mrs worthy family most def.
  • i think that you and me both know that those celebrities are HUGE enough to have impacted the lives of many many many people, even tho their not in the "band world", they are still apart of MUSIC.

And no one is being bitter sir. and I tried to approach the situation as nicely as possible....ESPECIALLY THE PART WHERE I SAID (3 x's) THAT I DIDNT MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE.

And I commented because I obviously had an opinion about it.

And ask yourself, If you didnt like my post, why did YOU respond?

Same way you had an opinion, is the same way I had an opinion to the original poster.

Any more questions, comments, or concerns? if not, case closed.
