Southern fires Richardson* By PERRYN KEYS* Advocate sportswriter* Published: Dec 7, 2009 - UPDATED: 4:30 p.m.Southern fired head football coach Pete Richardson today, according to athletic director Greg LaFleur.Richardson was relieved of his duties after his 17th season at the school. He compiled a 134-62-0 record, winning five Southwestern Athletic Conference championships and four black college national titles.His 2009 team finished 6-5 overall with a 3-4 record in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.The Jaguars ended their season Saturday with a last-minute, 30-25 loss to Texas Southern in Houston.http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/78718042.html

Southern is evil, firing this man before Christmas lol! Could have waited to after New Years smh! Well i'm sure Pimpin Pete is not worried, SU still has to foot out 200,000 dollars to him! He's still the biggest Pimp in Swac History lol!

lol...the football team just got home yesterday lol...so they fired him after a day of him getting back to southern wow....

now thats whats up well since he wouldn't get rid of any of his asst. i felt like they should get rid of him.we lost games for the last few years that we should've.ex. jsu 08,bayou 08,jsu 09,pvamu 09,txsu 09,just to name a few. we have too much talent to be a 6-5 team.i already heard of who they were trying to get and who wants this job but i'll be quiet for now
