Not an error and PV and GSU will be at the Cotton Bowl. The Texas vs Oklahoma game won't affect the State Fair Classic, GSU and PV fans love the State Fair Classic and the Texas vs Oklahoma game isn't cheap also.
It is true...both games this year are on the same day.

I emailed Dr. Pogue(GSU President) about this and he quickly responded that the athletic administrations from both institutions, along with the Big 12, and SWAC offices fully know understand the magnitude of such a weekend if not handled properly....
Packed is an understatement.......I'm soo glad I live in Dallas and won't have to deal with the sky-rocketed hotel prices.....alumni/ fans/students from GSU & PV better start making reservations, cause those OU/ TEXAS folks don't play about that game

Its been like that since GSU and PV started playing in the Cotton Bowl in the 80s. Nobody would go for the game but everybody went to see the battle of the bands. Thats how the game became popular. The announcers would talk shit to each other and the crowd just fed off the intensity the bands brought to the game. We would put together a whole new show for the PV game. For some reason I use to look forward to that game more than the Bayou Classic.
