    u may have to change up your embrasure accordingly..

    Right, that's what I was going to suggest. With the trumpet (at least for me) when I was trying to make that "break through" to the higher notes, I found that I had to make some adjustments to my embouchure. Something else that helped me out was just to relax while playing....

    If your range is a Double C, you doing good man. Nothing to be worried about. Hell, you barely see college heads hitting Double Cs.
