Whats going on here????

Hey Guys,

Is it me or is there a lack of any battles going on in this forum? Are you guys just not taking to time to write any music or is it a challenge ban going? Can somebody explain this to me because I remember a few years ago battles went on daily in here and now its like a ghost town. do me and silk need to go at it again to get yall back into the game?

    I know with school, I don't have time to really arrange...
    and honestly, with so little out there to write there doesn't seem to be a purpose..
    Need to get on some old school tunes from the looks of it for next year!!

    there are millions of songs to write you just need to know what your looking for. If you are looking for some songs Neyo's whole album is worth writing. I just would like to see some arranging going on because we need to bring some life back to this forum.

    BTW folks. That thing with Brandon and me was a farce. He's actually a good friend of mine. We gone be working together soon to push out some tunes together, cover more ground. Now, I'm not sure what was going on with Mini Me and him. Mini Me is my boy. I aint in that though

    OK yall. I aint been on this thing really posting like that in some time.

    So I got this ad up for free music and I have say, I've been getting some responses, got some schools playing my stuff this season, and that part is great.

    A challenge huh? Wow. Havent had one of those in a while. I'm using Finale 2011 now.
    Hmm, but if you wanna challenge me, we gotta develop a format, a time to throw the songs out, etc.
    I honestly need a few weeks. Closing out the semester and I need to focus on that. Afterwards, I wanna touch up some of this new, never before heard stuff I have.

    Cant check it at the moment. I critique it later. But if you are just starting, you may wanna get your feet wet first. Check my record from anyone who knows. I've never lost a battle and I bust heads, hold nothing back. I like to embarass people, pick em apart.... And everytime I battle, I honestly say that it's my last time just to be dragged into yet another battle, lol.

    But honestly, I don't typically waste time with newbies. No offense. I'm looking for someone to battle me and actually beat me and retire me from the game. I'm 25 now. My middle school band director taught me how to arrange back when I was 11 or 12, so I've got a bunch of years of actually doing it on me. Staff paper and piano was the way we did it back then. But I can help you with any advice you may need.

    I honestly doubt that. I got a bunch of stuff from this season I've
    been meaning to post that puts that stuff to shame. Honestly I
    encourage u to battle someone else with less experience so u can get a
    feel for battling. Trying my hardest to retire from battling (again)
    but it's addictive. Heck, I wasn't even thinking about battling until
    u contacted me. I'll check out your tunes but I'd highly advise u 2
    battle someone else.

    Listening, actually viewing your stuff now. I'll critique shortly....
    And first things, first. Protect your music at all cost. Avoid sending midi and mus files. Save MP3.

    First off, these arrangements are not ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with anything I have.

    Secondly, after reviewing the scores, it seems like a few different types of style being portrayed. For instance, some things that may seem complicated were nailed in some arrangements while the easier things were botched in others. It causes me to question whether or not these tunes were all created by the same author.

    I'm not assuming or accusing, but it just seems suspect. I'ma run em past one of my homies and see if he reaches the same conclusion.

    And after that, the immediate emails stopped. Now I was using this to guage whether or not he was for real, but anyone who has been arrangin for a while can spot a fake just like that, because of the inconsistency. When one arrangement is graphic and detailed and the next is super empty, people know something.

    Watch yourselves folks. People are still stealing arrangements in 2010.

    What I wanna know is what were the songs that he was using in this so called battle? If he was using .Mus files when your on finale it will tell you what program your using and the date it was made. I do remember giving him some files from finale and if he's using my music for his lil battle I'm going back to Mr.Jenkins and tell him to get him before the cops do.
