The Southern University “Human Jukebox” Marching Band will host the 1^st Extreme State Championship High School Battle of the Bands at 5 p.m., on Oct. 24 in A.W. Mumford Stadium on the Baton Rouge campus.

Eighteen high school bands will compete for the first place trophy.

Performing bands are:

The rapper Mystikal will serve as the host for the competition. Rappers Level, Jim Jack and other surprise guests will also perform.

The first 1000 tickets sold are $10; the remaining tickets will be $15.  Tickets are now on sale at Bowie’s Record Shop, 9162 Scotland Ave., Music Treasure Chest, 410 N Acadian Thruway, and La Rhythms Music Store, 9656 Burbank Dr. Ste. I.

Tickets can also be purchased at the local participating high schools and at the door.

Doors will open at 4 p.m.
