FAMU's team was almost just as bad and what's up with Valley's band wearing the berets and 40 different types of cargo, dickie and khaki pants/shorts? I"m so proud of FAMU for coming back strong, they've been through alot and now it is time to move forward. Good showing 100. Vstate is improving but I heard they are offering free band scholarships and waivering all out of state fees. This is a good idea but a school can go in the red when there isn't any out of state fees coming in.

Now you see what we struggling with Valley is one I think the youngest HBCU's we don't get a lot of funding most money goes to the state capital JSU and the uniform shortage came from the band being larger than usual new suits are coming just take time, and if your from famu hit the exit button no amount of "checking" can help your band, talk about the clothes and what we wore but the quality and quantity is there Clips don't lie let everyone see for themselves
The state funding money for public Mississippi colleges is given out by the IHL board, however, Ole Piss, Miss State & USM was getting much more state funds than the HBCU's but JSU people fought, complained and now JSU, Alcorn and Valley are getting their just due from the "Ayers Case". JSU sued the state but now you valley people want to bad mouth JSU and they are helping ya'll get your money.
We don't bad mouth JSU, Jsu just always have something bad to say about valley, we the youngest out of the 3 haven't had as much time but we are getting there
Kennis, you were the one who started a thread about JSU being a better contender. There are some strong HBCU's around here and yes, I get offended when anyone talks about the top research schools like Howard, FAMU, JSU, Tenn State. These schools have paved the way for younger schools like valley. So please don't be a hypocrite boo
Kennis don't bring FAMU up, they had nothing to do with this. If anything they've been gone for a yr and a half. Can your band use the same excuse? Now I'm proud of both bands because they represented very well (both could've been much better). Let's not bad mouth any other institutions. Please focus on improving your product. Keep up the good work.
