If Alabama A&M fans wants to watch their beloved Bulldogs onnational television — ESPN specifically — it probably won’thappen until December when the Southwestern AthleticConference title game is played. Even though the defending Eastern Division champions appearedtwice on ESPN’s family of networks last season, the school willhave no such opportunities come 2012, according to the recentlyreleased SWAC its ESPN television schedule. Two regular season Thursday night games highlight the SWAC regular season. Southernwill play host to Mississippi Valley State on Sept. 13 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU at A.W.Mumford Stadium. The game is the conference and home opener for the Jaguars. A week later on Sept. 20, Arkansas-Pine Bluff travels to Cramton Bowl in Montgomery,Ala. to face Alabama State for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPNU. “I’m not familiar with the guidelines for selection for the television broadcast, but wewant to let our fans know we will be working diligently to secure television contestsfor Alabama A&M in the future because we believe the Bulldogs have the best brand offootball as any team in the Football Championship Subdivision,” A&M athletics director Bryan Hicks told the Huntsville Times. There is still a possibility that some Saturday games during the season will be carried onthe ESPN family on a tape-delay broadcast. The Nov. 17 matchup with Auburn couldpresent regional coverage. According to the team’s webpage, no games are slated to be streamed via the school’swebsite. The SWAC, which streams games live via its website, hasn’t released the SWACTV slate of contests. The final regular season game on the ESPN family is the traditional Thanksgiving Daymatchup between Alabama State and Tuskegee in the Turkey Day Classic. This year’sevent is special because it features the grand opening of ASU Stadium for a 3:00 p.m.start on ESPNU. And finally, the 14th annual SWAC Championship Game will be carried live on ESPNU onSaturday, Dec. 8 from Birmingham’s Legion Field. Who should be held responsible for this? ESPN? The SWAC? Alabama A&M? Or are theBulldogs not being on national TV a by-product of the school not being an attractivecommodity?

WHAT!?! So all this to say What!?!...Tony...I'm confused. How can anyone be responsible but the network. ESPN looks at the big bucks, more viewers, more money. Haven't you figured this out yet?
i just copied and pasted this, i have nothing to do with it. I posted it cuz its wrong AAMU has a good team. Why no tv time? And they dont know if aamu going to the ship. If you have questions go on swacpage.com i copied an paste word for word. They asked the questions not me.
So I guess I get it......No AAMU games are not gonna be on ESPNU, unless they make it to the SWAC Championship. Not really gonna make a difference. I say they need to start back putting HBCU games on BET.
i put it here due to we barely get to see any hbcu's on tv now! Now we cant see another GOOD TEAM unless they go the ship. It seems hbcu get robbed of tv time yet everh team and they mama get a good three four games a season. Our own BET dont even play a damn game. So why ppl wanna petition this post try doing it for something worth it. Smh. Or should i smacked aamu for ppl to get it.

He copied and pasted this because AAMU is one of the better football teams in the SWAC along with Grambling, bamastank, and JSU...yet we get no TV time. He brought this to our attention because believe it or not This is the audience and in a sense we can act on this issue. We do have a voice and we should let the SWAC athletic program commension know our concern.

THANK YOU. ALl these dumb threads an post that other ppl make yet when it comes to important matters ppl DONT GET IT? COME on now? THINK. If AAMU a team who made it to the ship! not getting tv time who next? This shows they dont give a damn about hbcu football they fit hbcu in their time why you think they want hbcu football on THURSDAYS ( when ppl dont even care to watch a game) or show at 1am after a big game was shown! thats not right! so petition that an see how far you get! sure its bandhead. BUT BANDS WOULDNT BE DOING ANYTHING WITHOUT ''FOOTBALL'' you make a show for your halftime at a FOOTBALL GAME. Think about it if your school had no team what would your band be doing? and How big would they be, doing what botb's here an there like central state did since 96?
