  • LOL!!!  You mad?  Hell yea, JSU!!  JSU didn't copy.  They just borrowed it to show y'all how to play it better.  It's still alcorn's song, though.

  • Yeah, I never understood why people won't congratulate the other teams on victories...and thats for every swac team. I love Jsu to death, but i will give credit when its due. Alcorn played so freaking hard today...we didnt. Idk if its b/c jsu spot to the swac is secured or what?!!  SOD, ehhh?! But they were ok..

  • actually JSU played this to mess with Alcorn. Trust me Unlike Rub You the Right Way and other Countless Boom songs that were played by Alcorn at the game today Hoe Check won't be in book any longer. Murray Learned from the best and is simply implimenting what he learned at JSU. No Flag Girls, Tenor Drums, No melodic percussion. Alcorn doesn't breed Musicians like JSU does. Let's be real.

Alcorn drilled to rub you the right way in the 90's i wanna say 91 or 93 but asu been had that song in their book! Go listen to past stuff before saying its JSU song.

  • Alcorn football really played hard today and they deserve to win with their workhorse ability but that sounds of firecracker band wouldnt be anything if it wasn't for JSU and SU. alcorn and murray has copied the hell of the the swacs bests. ASU neck has so many of SU sounds wtf and all those songs he played are JSU originated come on alcorn don't be an aamu

  • Actually Dr. Murray graduated from Alcorn first and finally came back home after getting his doctorate. Yes he worked at JSU but he was not there long. Second of all Alcorn marched tenors many many years ago and had them while Murray attended Alcorn, I know this to be a fact because I marched in the Alcorn drumline on bass drum from 94-98 and played tenor my last year. I might be wrong about this but I think Alcorn stopped marching tenors around 98 or 99 and finally brought them back when he returned. By the way I also marched in the band during Dr. Murray's senior year. If you question if I really marched with the sounds of Dyn-o-Mite. You should you tube alcorn any time from 94 to 98. You cant miss me. I am the only white dude marching in the section during those years.
  • Hey Chris What's up, This is Don Brown (Tuba, Baritone, Student Director) Let me ease your burden some and I'm only posting this because a fellow Alcornite (you) from my era posted, and I normally don't comment on here. Please do not bother explaining anything to these ignant arse JSU posters about Zulu. They are completely hell bent on believing he stole music from JSU and brought it to Alcorn simply to boost their ego. I was in the band when we were playing those songs in the early 90's they insist we stole from them but them JSU folx seem to have amnesia of where they got  7Day Weekend, Do It One More Time, and I Got 5 On it and countless other songs from. But that what's JSU does better than any other band, they steal yo **** and pawn it off as their own. Them folks religiously bash Zulu but won't thank the man for the service he gave to that university especially a time no one credible or reputable wouldn't touch the position, (i.e.) Ms. Sanders, McGruder, Paul Adams wanted nothing to do with that alumni fan base, they wouldn't even interview for the position and Dowell Taylor originally had no intention on being there long term, but Renaldo stepped up, did his job knowing it wasn't permanent and them ingrates won't acknowledge or thank him for that. What HBCU band you know goes with an interim BD for 2 years +.  Point being.....we old school, save your bandwidth and don't argue with these idiots. This is the same band that went d**** near 15 years doing the same down field drill before Zulu stepped in, calling it a tradition, crooked lines and all, swearing they were the best band in the SWAC. But I digress........... I must have graduated by then cause I always remember you on bass drum. I got footage of the band from our time on Youtube under the name 4444raider, if you haven't already, visit my channel. TTYL
