    I think Alcorn is good or just average.  They can be better if they stick to what works for them traditionally, however, I saw them last year at JU and SU and of course they simply couldn't handle the Jukes and the Boom.  When they played agaist SU they imitated JSU but when they played JSU they tried to play alot of SU songs..  Keep it real ALLCORN.

    Go look at the videos on youtube. Alcorn played alot of Su songs against JSU but they only made themselves less important against SU.  In HBCU Band land the top 5 bands are in alphabetical order are:

    BC-Wildcats

    FAMU

    JSU

    SU

    Tenn State                       ALLCORN has a long way to go but it be longer as long as they keep imitating everyone else.

    Really Tiffani? Alcorn playing SU songs? Oh by the way no band owns a song, so songs like

    And that's just a few of the songs they played in 2012, tell me if SU played any of these songs?

    I am a SU fan but Alcorn does not copy SU. Although Alcorn does have 1 song I wouldn't mind hearing SU play because they will crank on it (Hoe Check) Other than that, I don't see how they mimick SU. They didn't mimick what JSU played. I did like that Heart Attack as well.

    What do you think they will do this year? They had a terrific year last year, and i know they will be even better.

    I agree with most...but TnSU sounds good on certain songs...not so good on others..and their FIELD SHOWS are usually kinda lacking, especially with the WACK dance routines and dances. If you still doing Chingys "Right Thur" dance, then its WACK!  lol.

    So for those reasons, I probably wouldnt put TnSU on that list. I would probably replace them with someone else

    Sounding good on certain songs? I'll put my money on us consistently sounding good over anyone else...

    this topic ain't about no other school but Alcorn...but since yall put TnSU in this.....to say TnSU is not top 5 in any category is nothing short of blasphemy! BCU FAMU SU JSU and us are the most consistent bands out there. I ask yall...if TnSU is not in the top 5 then who is better overall? sure some bands are louder (if that even matters) but other than the other people i named no one else comes close!....please feel free to correct me if im wrong

    TNSU has not be consistent with sounding good on there song selections, you can go back to the John Merrit Classic when they played SU in 2011. SU would have never left the bandroom sound like that. That Been So long and Miguel song was horrible. As for Alcorn copying SU on song selections I would say not!
