Texas Southern University played a home game this past weekend against Southern and fell just short losing 31-24. The game kicked off Friday November 1st at 8:00pm. In my eyes, the most interesting part of TSU’s season is the lack of support from local fans.

 TSU made a one-time payment of $1.5 million toward the building project and received a 30-year lease to use the stadium. 

With all these measures put into play, TSU has had the very lackluster attendance from fans in support of their team. For TSU’s homecoming against Alcorn State, attendance was a mere 4,582. On Friday’s close game against Southern, attendance was only 6,406. 

Looks like 2000 extra people came to see SU,

    Txsu has a nice enrollment too....Even the PV game should have a good 40k there! The largest game txsu had in a while was GSU vs TXSU 2010 AND GSU brung a crowd too and tsu did too it was 10k. Txsu homecoming was even bad attendance last few seasons. And from clips vs that SU game i did not see 6k more like 2k that stadium was empty SU had more fans. 8pm is a great time too

    Your stats are wrong. In 2012 JSU at TXSU was 14623 and JSU outnumbered them at least 3 to 1.  I was there.
