OK during the game and after the game I heard many conversations from SU crowd as well as the JSU crowd about this game and making it more publicized...its no secret that the Bayou Classic draw more people at the Battle of Bands/Greek Show than the Game...in your opinion do you think this game needs a big sponsor like State Farm and televise the game...this game draw more of a fan base, the location show that true tailgating and college life experience, the game is NEVER boring, the bands always bring it...what do you think? Yes the Bayou Classic should still be the classic but I don't see the harm in publicizing another HBCU classic...

i don't think it needs a sponsor, sponsors might swallow up revenue. plus crowds are large enough already
this is off topic but I think they need to build a parking garage, I know attendance ain't that large for other games in jackson compared to when they play SU but I missed the entire pregame looking for somewhere to park

Traffic and parking is the same way for the capital city classic when JSU play Alcorn
The attendance #s are pretty much the same 40 something thousand
this year will be more since Alcorn and JSU both are winning

if i may chime in...i was at this game, and it was my first since 06, and this is one unbelievable rivalry...one that shouldnt be taken over by a sponsor because it will get tooooo commercialized...if sponsors take over the game u can kiss the band aspect about it goodbye...this is what has happened to the State Fair Classic.....Every opportunity that the bands have to play will become second to the sponsors, especially a State Farm, or Southwest Airlines to do their promotions...I say yall should leave it how it is...It's a great atmosphere to be in,,,this is from a Grambling Guy who had a great time in Jackson, Oct 16, 2010..will never forget it...

This is not true. All though the numbers are down for the classic. The BOTB only one side be full. At the game the whole Dome is just about full.

keep all those middlemen outta here....heyal, i hated all that extra ish before halftime....i can only imagine how it is with sponsors...
pre-game will be shortened significantly.....what needs to happen is the SWAC get a contract with ESPN to televise it....
