I just got word that Edwin "Pop" Bigsby, retired longtime band director of Booker T. Washington High School has passed.  I really dont know the details at this time but what I can say as a band director was that he was another one I really looked up to.  He was always willing to lend advice to use young directors and loved to talk about the changing generations.

He retired after 52 years in education.  So to the Booker T. Washington High School Family, you have our prayers and condolensces. Im glad we all got the chance to honor him prior to this.

To everyone else, please stay prayed up.  This is the 4th huge loss we have been hit with in the Houston Area.  Within two years we have lost:

"Conrad Johnson

Prof. George Edwards

Ronald Thornton

and now "Pop"
