Any suggestions?

Ok so I've been playing baritone for about 2 years now & this hadn't really happen until recently, but when i play my horn (generally loud for a few songs) it's like my lips go out and I can't get back up there where I was, sometimes it even happens in the middle of a song & I have to take a break before I start playing again. Is this normal? & how can I fix this?

  • the only way is to push yourself harder when you feel your lips givin out. its no way around it. just build up your chops.
  • you're lips reach their limit.....push pass your limit...
  • Before I read what everybody else is saying....its good to do warm up exercises with the mouth piece out and 10 mins later you can play the same exercises with the mouth piece in...buzzing on you mouth piece is good and vibrating your lips is good too
