But my input....if it were to happen.....I say NO....only because i don't feel that ATL has the same mentality that NO has, and probably not the same dedication like that.....
Lol really? I would think the dedication to Atlanta bands would be higher than most cities...because atlanta has like the biggest HIGH SCHOOL bands in the south lol...I wouldnt think dedication would be a problem

Atlanta All Star Alumni Band VS New Orleans All Star Alumni band???
Who would come out on top IF atlanta did have a alumni all star band???
it ain't like it used to be in ATL man....granted im not from here but i have seen bands from yesteryear to today and things have changed....they have changed in NO too, but those kids been playin since they were in elementary school and their passion for instrumental music is a bit bigger in my eyes...i could be wrong though, I'd love to see it myself

Would not work. You got folks from every band w/ the exception of PVAMU, TXSU, MVSU,Del State, and MSU.
You gonna have all the SWAC/MEAC heads in one band with the director from either/or conference. Its going to be a very big Disagreement on how the band should sound from the director(S) on down to the musicians.
Simply put, there would need to be a SWAC atl all star band and a Meac ATL ALL STAR BAND. The SWEAC thing will not work.
So why go through all that trouble putting together a BAND in atl? Leave it alone. This all star concept works in every other state but Ga.
Yea I know, Ive loved in atlanta all my life, and even though the size of bands have changed in atlanta they still have the biggest high school bands int he south, think about it during marching band season swd is about 200, stephenson has about 170 mlk around 160 redan around 150.. Most high school bands in like new orleans have about on avg 60-80 people in a band. I think atlanta has got those numbers through DEDICATION and legacy.
