    Your high school don't do concert band? If so use one of those. When you audition make sure the piece you use is something you are familiar with when you audition 9/10 the director looking for best piece. Try a march, March Grandioso In Storm and Sunshine or something. I auditioned with Storm and Sunshine since Most Swac schools played it. Good luck

    I appreciate the response,and I asked my symphonic band director if we had In Storm and Sunshine he said no. I was thinking about doing a piece that we are playing right now but instead of playing the whole thing I was just going to play a chunk of it because it has alot of rest. Do you think that is a good idea or do you have anymore suggestions?

    Audition Pieces
    I'm a trumpet player and was looking for a piece of music to play for my marching band audition for college. Anyone have suggestions??

    Yeah, that'll be straight. I auditioned for JSU, Alcorn, Uapb, Su, and Mvsu neither ofthem required to play the whole piece. Just play the parts with most musical parts and not the short rest spots you'll be aight.
