Band Camp for high school students...

Hey guys, Im the director at Stephen F. Austin High School here in Houston. Im curious to know, which colleges have good band camps for high school students.

 

Im specifcally interested in a good camp for drum majors where leadership is taught not just performing.  To be honest, any dam body can shake they ass and blow a whistle.  I need a camp where my drum majors will learn how every aspect about leading a band. 

 

I know Norfolk wont be having theirs this year.  I know of Southern Camp, Grambling Camp but thats about it.

    looking back on my days at Grambling's band camp, the drum majors were thrown into the fire, for lack of better term. They would be placed in charge of controlling the ENTIRE group of 400 plus. They learned to govern for the director. They directed as the director did, and kept order in the rehearsals. I can't speak for any other ones. Just this one.
