Most prominent band programs hire their own alumni..there are a few schools tho that will hire from other institutions..here's 3 off the top of my head...Alcorn,Jackson, TXSU...i wanna say bama st too..not sure on that 1 tho...but i said that to say this
Does this mean you throw all your school spirit and pride out the window when excepting a job at another institution??...for example..ast bd at txsu c.gibson is an alcorn alumni..would it be wrong for him on an txsu off wk to come down to Alcorn's homecoming and join in on homecoming festivities with his SOD band shirt on???(i know txsu& alcorn usaully play each other for their homecomings...its jus an example)

Being a member of Band Staff is no different than a College professor who teaches at Grambling that graduated from UAPB, or a Football Coach who's on the Football staff at Southern who graduated/played at PV. Same thing goes for a basketball coach who graduated from Jackson St and is coaching at AlabamaA&M. Are those people suppose to throw out pride in their schools all because they're WORKING at a different college?
Same applies to College Presidents. You never lose school spirit or love for your school, regardless of where you end up in life.
Example: I know people who attended Alcorn for undergrad. During their undergrad years they talk all the noise to Jackson State and sometimes express just how much they hate JSU and talk about it like a dog lol (in state rivalry talk) but then they end up going to Grad school at JSU... and they still go back to Alcorn for homecoming games or other school functions.
If TxSU's BD wants to go back to Alcorn and wear his purple & gold SOD shirt for homecoming then I don't see anything wrong with it because he is a former member. Only small minded people would look at something like that and see a problem with it (or try and smack it) because they don't realize there is life beyond undergrad band.
YOU SUCK BRUH,,,MAN!!!,,DID YOU EVEN MARCH?
