Band Relationships

This may be a mushy topic however it's something that has yet to be discussed from my knowledge on this site. What are your experiences with this scenario?

  • Can't say I have had much experience in this arena.
  • What type of relationship?
  • Trouble, you may as well be dating everyone in the band because they all will know your business.

    Band Love
How you ever founded your boyfriend/girlfrined in the band and then you have a jealous  ex that keep trying to break yall up beacuse he/she want you.…
  • Wouldn't that be awkward if you break up with them while still members in the band?
  • I would never date a member in the band again. too streesful and cause tension in the band and i advise u to NOT get in an serious relationship with someone in the same band.
  • There are pros and cons.

The Pros: You get to be around your significant other all the time.

The Cons: You get to be around your significant other ALL the time...lol

The only time when it's bad is when things go wrong in the relationship, and you are stuck looking at that person all the time. Also, EVERYBODY in the band will be in your business.

Word of advice: If you are in a relationship with a bandmate, keep the personal stuff and the band stuff separate...ESPECIALLY if you or the other person is in a position of authority (ie. section leader, DM). You don't want to be the talk of band drama topics.
  • It depends on the people. Some people can handle seeing each other 24/7 and some can't, i know i wouldn't because i get tired of peeps quick lmao. I know many people that were in band that got married and i know people that stayed in drama while have a relationship while in band. I mean we get to the hotel and all hell breaks loose because someone got caught with someone in the room lol. I don't know why some feel that they have to be in a relationship. Mentally many aren't ready for relationships when they want them. I say you and that person lay it all on the table and let each other know how you feel and let them know about they're no strings attached. We were always told that we were brothers and sisters in the band and we shouldn't be messing around with each other but some peeps can't control their feelings and hormones so that's why i say it's up to the people.
  • Tough stuff
  • Me and my girl was in the band together for two and a half years and I ain't have no problem. I think if you a real bandhead it's better cause they can't trip bout you being away from them all the time and a regular chick wouldn't understand why you take it so seriously.
