    nope not true SU hasn't been to Alabama AM since 2006 I think but they still come to SU. I think it depends on budget and what the game offers recruiting wise for your program

    Each schools budgets depends......ASK PV!!!! and Alabama State for example

    I hope TXSU makes it to Jackson this year. It's a trip I want to make this season!

    Bands not returning trips
    Is that still in practice? If a band doesn't make a trip to a game, then the home band doesn't go to that school next year.

    AAMU will probably never see PV or Texas SO unless its in the championship game.... That simply is a LONG trip from Texas to Alabama.

    @ bandfan21. He is referring to said name schools who find the way to exclude these schools EVERY year under the guise that they are having economic hardship. That simply cannot be the case EVERY year, and if so, makes you want to question the stellar support of their fan bases. Whatever the case, I feel that the MMH covers alot more ground when it comes to traveling because they venture outside of the familiar.

    Well most schools dont see PV because they NEVER travel because they are the farthest school WEST in the SWAC. And also because their stadium doesnt support an AWAY band.

    Alabama State has pretty good fan support, but I believe the SIZE of the band is a MAJOR contributor to them not being able to move THAT many people THAT often throughout the season. That junk is expensive.

     

    Nonetheless, I CANT WAIT to see SU in Bama St's new stadium. Fans are already talking about making that trip to Bama to see if SU can conquer TAKING OVER the newest stadium in the SWAC.!!!

    I cant wait to see SU's crowd in there. That game is gonna be LIVE!!!

    @ jason this thread is about bands not returning trips, not fan bases. Im sure when the the author refernced PV and ASU he or she was referring to the fact that no matter how often these two bands visit certain schools, said name schools NEVER reciprocate. As for SU visiting this year, comr and enjoy but dont expect anyone to roll out a red carpet.

    I was reffering to the bands...I thought it was understood that when we say PV, SU, AAMU..etc,, that we are reffering to the bands, since this is a BAND site. lol

     

    But I also added the side note about a LARGE fan base coming to ASU, in congruence with the TOUGHEST band matchup that ASU will face this upcoming year, which = why I said the game will be LIVE. Hope I broke it own enough for you.

     

    And there's no need to roll out the red carpet, hince why I said "TAKE OVER", which is what SU Jag Nation and band is known to do. YOU KNOW THIS!
