Did you anyone out there get footage of the battle outside after it was over???  Istrouma and Scotlandville went at it for about 7 rounds and all I can say is....I feel sorry for whoever kept begging for Scotlandville to come out of hiding...Them boys and girls were packing some serious sound last...they look smaller than from last i saw them SU BOTB but man o man were they on it. Discipline was tight, their 4 tubas was giving it to Istrouma's 6 (not saying they smashed them)...but S'ville btones straight smashed and was the icing on the cake.  Man they have a way more mature sound than they have had over the past couple years...i have to give it up to that band director and those kids, haven't heard a Baton Rouge band sound like that in a loooong time.

Istrouma did good...a lot of the music sounded empty and all over the place at times but they sounded ok for a high school...Those tubas they have has some major potential and that drum section is just too damn good...

BR bands are really on a come up...im anxious to see Baker and S'ville go at it...they are the best of the BR area to me...everyone else can just sit back and watch.

btw...what happened to the size of Baker's band??? They looked much smaller than the last time i saw them...went from 8 tubas to 4???
