I've seen all of the and this is how I see it. 1st- I have to go with istrouma simple because everytime I saw them this year they sound very good and looked nice. Plus they use their instrumentation well nobody tries to overblow.
2nd- Ima go with baker this is another band that has a nice ballanced sound. They could use a few more trumpets but overall they sound good.
3rd- mc kinley they have made a big improvement since last year I remember in 01 when we battle them they were a power house, I know that they'll be back to where they were in about two more years top
4th scotlandville, nice looking band but they need to work on the clarity of their band at times when I heard them they sound bad, example downtown parade, their sound was not all the way their, but maybe it wad the cold. But overall their not bad just a few things they can fix.
5th glen oaks - when I saw my Lil homie marching with them I lost respect for them I know for a fact that boi graduated with me in 2004. Plus even with the older guys marching with them they sound bad.
Wait a sec watch the clip i would say baker is the only band that is even a comparison in baton rouge to glen oaks, istrouma has got alot better since last year and all the previous years but u need to check scotlandville and mckinley because Istrouma and mckinley uses old heads. Me knowing mr polard, I thought it very seriously if he would ask someone from glen oaks to march with his band. If that i the case i can bet them dudes must have lied and told mr polard that they were 1 coming to Istrouma or 2 already at the school, plus glen oaks is known for marching old heads thats why no one respects their program, lastly you said baker is the only band that can compare thats a slap in the face to that band and their director honestly glen oaks is just not a good sounding band period.

Scotlandville Looked Nice In Their Uniform And Sounded Good...Mckinley Is Still The Same Mckinley..Istrouma just been getin dogged by people everytime their mention 4 some reason....and glen oaks sound go to...my 2 cents
