WHAT IS THE BEST CLASSIC GAME? WHY?This discussion does not only have to be about bands even though this is a bandhead website.Just to name the ones I heard about...MAGIC CITY CLASSIC, LABOR DAY CLASSIC(BHAM), TURKEY DAY CLASSIC, BAYOU CLASSIC, JOHN MERRITT CLASSIC, FLORIDA CLASSIC, etc.

First I will say that in my opinion we are like "ying and yang." We both usually decide who will be going to the SWAC championship besides the Bayou classic. We both from the outside could be called equal but AAMU is the BEST!
NOW what makes this Classic the BEST.
Come to Birmingham during the last week in October and U will see Y. Along with the concerts, radio shows, and parties you have the biggest HBCU Parade held downtown Birmingham feat. over 30 h.s. bands from everywhere near the south if not the USA. When the stadium is packed 3 days before the game you know its something big. When your two biggest schools (U of Alabama and Auburn) in the State of Alabama either play away games, someone thats sorry, or just don't have a game at all, you know its a big game. We both have similar traditions but i'm gonna let a Hornet explain. At the sametime we have a family atmosphere. Also you don't have to be an alumni or have attended the universities to enjoy yourself.
