" summer band camp"... although we are not officially sponsored by a university, our staff is composed of current university band directors/ music major interns from from Prairie View A&M, Texas Southern University, Jackson State University, Arkansas Pine Bluff ... just to name a few. Our camp is ALWAYS held on a college campus ( this year at the University of Houston ) and is probably the cheapest ...$60 for six weeks ... which includes travel and uniforms.
Really that's no camp, 4 weeks, that's just preparing for performances lol! I say GSU, because not only do we do marching band, but there is concert band also and jazz band: you learn a lot from our camp!

Best college to go to for summer camp
I play trombone and I want to know what is the best college to go to for high school summer camps.
NSU camps are the best. any camp that lets u play NSUs arrangments (which are hardest to learn and play compared to other camps) is a great camp........... them kids end up soundin just like NSU
WELL AAMU is having a summerband camp for students who are in the sixth grade and up !!! TO GET MORE INFORMATON call Alabama A&M University and ask to be tranferd to the music deparment
go to the camp for the school you want to go to. some of tehm offer scholarships. Famu band camp offers scholarships if you attend their camp for four years in a row.
