1-SOUTHERN- great intense drills and drive (catches my attention) lack dance routine but if u can drill well then u got me.2- UAPB- improved wayyyyyyyy better on the field than the past their formations are crisp just lack energy, dance routines are nice also3- GSU- drills have gotten wayy better just need to fix them up more, other than that entertaining field show dance routines be solid4- TXSU- entertaining shows5-PVU- i would love to see more drilling but their shows have good dance routines and entertaining it goes down on the field at state fair classic!!!!wat are yall opinions yall

i feel greg but in 08 man alcorn didnt have that drive they usually have and i didnt see alcorn in person cuz dey didnt come to grambling cuz of the hurricane there. but in 08 alcorn wasnt all that on drills.
You can't please everyone felicia, it's impossible: i know at GSU we feel if you like us then it's cool, if you don't like us then it's cool! It SWAC bands on the field!
1.SU-best drilling band hands down, they crowd is usually into their breakdown!
2.UAPB-drilling is good, displays musicallity and have creative shows!
3.GSU-we have stepped it up in the drilling category,sound has gotten better, dance routines and breakdowns are full of energy, i dont think anyone in the SWAC can throw out the energy we do on the field!
4.PV-the only band that give us(GSU) competition in the dance routine category, they have flashy moves but the only reason they are 4 on my list is because of their drilling!
5.Alcorn-drills usually are tight but the students lack energy and drive!
One of the schools mentioned for the top three doesn't actually have accurate drills every time they drill. The rigidity of their style hasn't SHOWN UP since the 80's. One of these schools really HAS improved their drilling, the biggest problem with them is that 1- they aren't actually known for having difficult drills and 2- their size is really LESS than a standard 128. Furthermore, one of the schools mentioned has actually ALWAYS done pretty decent or very good drills. The only reason they would be boring is the tempo they tend to drill to, but usually they are competitively accurate. And as far as step 2 goes SU and Alcorn simply do better.
