  • well i play both and i feel that the euphonium has a better smother sound that is great for concert music when u wana really show somebody what u r really about then whip out the b-tone. Personally i am a b-tone man.
  • Dont matter. if you are a musician. you should be a beast on both.
  • well to be honest baritone and euphoniums are very different from the tone of the insturement to the range. also euphoniums are closely related to the tuba, some people even call it a baby tuba. thats also why famu prefer euphoniums over bariton So the question is hard to answer.
  • b-tone no doubt!!!
  • Depends on what type of sound that you're looking for...........I started on a king baritone and now i play a Kanstul Marching Euphonium............Sounds more clear, fuller, etc........
  • yea but b-tones cut through way more...piercing sound
  • There is no best.

The two have different sounds, so it depends on the sound you want, and the context of which it is played.
  • Man i would prefer Euphoniums. Man standing in front of Bethune Cookman in 2007 in Miami made me love Euphoniums. They are very full. Man their band has so much weight, especially from their euphoniums. I wish Grambling would go back to them.
