I mean there's barely any high step high schools in NY so they're open for influence from any college style. Anyone who starts working up there can make a big difference and even start a trend going on. I mean they have willing students and plenty of them. Share your opinion.

They are home to the steppers and the BK school of music & theater. They already have 2 good bands that are high school bands. Detroit has no HBCUs but they had great hs bands.

I can... someone just needs to bring that to them. I'm from Detroit and like it was stated, we don't really have any HBCU's. But we have Cass Tech High School. So maybe not as an individual state, but as a region, I think the North period is fully capable of having great high school bands; we just need more directors from High Step to help us along the way.
