I just ordered one yesterday..I've heard many positive things about them..And I heard that it takes a lot of core..Well that's not an issue..I'm not the average high school tuba player..But if anyone could tell me more detail then that would be great.!!

MF 3's take alot of air, esp. if youre used to a shallow mouthpiece. It is indeed a wonderful mouthpiece though, and once you can play on that you can play on anything. i own a MF 3B and have also played on a 3h, 3, and a 5h. I would reccomend getting the MF3b because it is the most comfortable
Yeah Im playing on a LM12 now..But I'm going to call Mike now to see if he can switch it before he ships it off..And the 3B is the best right.??

I received the 3B on Thursday..Its a great mouthpiece..And I already have the wind for it..I'm not your typical high school tuba player.Way beyond that horrible high school sound and technique..Lol but yeah I'm good..I just have to find another amateur to drop those low F's again..

i don't know about them. but IMO a mouthpiece that works for one person does not always work for everyone.
