Clark Terry Receives Lifetime Grammy

Clark Terry of Pine Bluff, the man with a velvet touch on a trumpet, has received his share of honors over a career in jazz that spans more than six decades. This weekend he willbe honored with the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award.







Knownfor encouraging young students, he has conducted countless jazz campsand was welcomed as an adjunct professor in the University of Arkansasat Pine Bluff’s Music Department in 2006.

  • What amazes me with him is that regardless of what he has accomplished so far, He still buzzes and practices everyday that he can!!! A living encyclopedia of knowledge and a funny guy!
