Classic N.O. MArdi Gras Pre Line UP Battles

Between the years of 2000-2010 New Orleans High School Marching Bands has had some classic battles at the Pre  Line Up of parades .If u had to put together a top 5 or even a top 10 battles of all time between the years of 2000-2010 which battles would make your list?            

 

 

1.Carver vs Kennedy vs 35 .00-01

2.Carver vs Reed vs Kennedy 01-02

3.Reed vs Carver  01-02

4.Reed vs John Mac. Mardi Gras 02-03 I never saw REED dominated by another band until this faithful night By Jeff and Da MAC

5.Walker vs 35 . Mardi Gras 07 This Battle let the band world know N.O. after the hurricane

    I never saw in person a Pre Line Up Battle before in new orleans in person...but this battle went hard rite here

    Man I cant even list'em.. All i know is, there were battles that nobody witnessed that happened between Kennedy & other bands from my time at Kennedy, because they happened in odd places some after parades.. some  cant even recall but they were epic at the most...

    Kennedy vs St Aug vs who John Mac vs Carver "Happy Birthday" MLK battle LOL

    St Raymond Battle John Mac vs Kennedy vs St Aug..  01 and 02

    Buffalo Soldiers parade battle Kennedy vs Carver

    Kennedy vs Reed 2000 parade season

    Zulu Parade Kennedy vs Carver vs Smiley 01

     

    I cant remember anything else lol

    The crazy thing about It is all these bands were on the same level.anybody could have gotten smash by anybody if u got caught slippin. The 4 vs Carver 00-01 in save a center parking lot was a classic Brimmer put that wood on Rawlings and Carver

    Its coming 4real son espically with the Walker vs St.Aug battle thats bringing that excitement  right now.From what im hearing these 2bands have great expectations for next year.Yall think yall on here fussing and talkin sh!t wait until next football season/mardi gras

    thats just 2 bands, back before the storm, they could have 3 tops bands not marching and still have a fire battle

    Homie that's the type of battle our city need to get back to what we use to be about and they are doing it.at this point it really don't matter if its just St.Aug and Walker that's shining because everybody else will soon follow now that these middle schools r now up and running.If u just add 30more ppl to a 35,Carver,or Mcmain .Y'all gonna be talking about the city is back and mind u those bands sound good with the 60-70 ppl they have in their band

    Yea. There is definitely progress in the city. Right now, the top dogs are Walker and St. Aug and the rivalry between those two has the potential to reach the magnitude of St. Aug vs Kennedy once the bands improve more. The recent vids of 35 and McM made me feel real good too..those bands are getting better and better despite the numbers.  I wanna see if Carver can get back to Carver University once again.lol.....their current band is good, but they have some HUGE shoes to fill. It's gonna take a few more years, but everybody is gonna get back to where they need to be

    2005 Warren Easton vs. Carver vs. Reed vs. FortierCan't remember what parade this was, but everbody was rolling off one by one. We(Warren Easton) was on the come up too.! :)
