    UAPB Wind Symphony performed Blue Shades, Of Sailors and Whales, Toward the Northern Star (i think thats the name of it).....and lke 3 other pieces lol
  • Yeah no clips here either, but SU's Wind Symphony performed 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky, Trittico by Vaclav Nelybel, Persis Overture by James Hosay, and a few others.
  • Nelybel is a beast, i played Trittico in high school and Festivo by Nelybel. Grambling played Emperata Overture, Procession of the Nobles, Melody Shop, etc. etc.

  • Definitely wanted to hear our performance at the Shaw Center... smh

    Its funny how low the replies on this topic are... But alot of people are quick to try and discuss musicality in marching band and have nothing to say here lol...

  • ^^^sound good bcu......Ride is like a standard across the state of Arkansas ever since Jack Stamps was conductor of the Intercollegiate band.....I was in the band a few years later when Hazo (the composer of Ride) was the conductor.....I was like the only nicca sightreading ride lol.......but talk about a WORKOUT.....my chops felt worse under his baton than they do on saturday night lol
