  • Not sure about Hampton but had a few friends/family at CAU; great opportunity for internships/jobs with cnn or local news channels.
  • All im going to say is, Hampton is the better "School".
  • I'd say clark unless you have money for hampton....
  • If you're majoring in Mass Comm., CAU is the way to go... Hands down.

@Reppa: I guess I agree in some aspects, but CAU is a great institution w/ a great history. Although CAU isn't a part of the 'HBCU Ivy League', I still strongly recommend going there... ESPECIALLY if you're majoring in Mass Comm.

@Burko: I'm not sure how much Hampton costs, but CAU is NOT cheap either...
  • You should go to Atlanta A&T they won The BET Big Southern Classic. They better than MBC.
  • CAU approx $17,954 per year
Hampton approx $ 18,074 per year

check any school out profile on college board:

Which schools in your opinion are better. I'm trying to major in Mass Media Arts/Broadcast Journalism.
  • Go where YOU want to go and dont worry about the cost. 99% of the student body at both places receive aid.
  • Thanks yal! I'm still going to do the band and CAU just seem closer to the city also I heard Hampton has a nice campus but never heard anything of their journalism program
  • CAU is definitely the better school for your major. They have a really strong Communications and Broadcasting department. Plus they make sure by the end of your junior year you have internships lined up in your field
