  • In the case of this one, it's too long....your crowd is going to lose interest after a couple minutes....2:00 to 2:30 should be the max time for a ballad....I'm also hearing a couple of bad chords in there as well, mainly in your transitions from verse to bridge....otherwise you are on the right track....

    One pet peeve I always notice with a lot of young arrangers is their voicings of songs....that wasn't necessarily the case in this song, but for future reference....
