I will probably be the new section leader here at Dallas Carter High School Band.

How do you keep your cymbal section in even order during songs??

I need advise, no boasting no bragging, just advice.

This is cymbal section leaders in high schools and/or college.

Use mirrors to make sure every1 is identical... It helps to put the taller people in the back so that every1 is seen. It takes countless reps to make sure all the flashes/twirls are picture-perfect.

I don't play the cymbals, but I was a Drum Major last year so my advice is to lead by example; as with any section. Also, like one person already said, mirroring is always great, and practicing everything over and over. Also make sure your section has pride in what they do because that can sometimes make a difference too. Lastly, I don't know about anyone else, but when I see cymbals, I look for uniformity. So make sure everything is uniform; from the moves to the marching, to everything.
