Not gon happen
Did ya'll see where the former Pres of Jsu Mason wants to merge Southern Univ. with uno???
This man wants to destroy all HBCU s be very leary of HIM- He is an disgrace to the Jaguar Nation!!!
he was talking about merging UNO into the SU system, UNO in the LSU system. so with the switch it would make the SU syetem stronger in a sense. but I don't think merging of anything will ever happen.
Exactly Mo. It was on the news yesterday. I wrote about it on Facebook UNO's been falling off since katrina.. SUNO is "across the street" so to speak. so it can work if they do merge
ROTFLMAO!!!!! he tried to do that SAME thing at JSU. he wanted to merge Jackson State with Alcorn and Valley. Then he wanted to merge those schools with Ole Miss.
Folks, he was talking about Merging UNO with SUNO, thus making UNO a part of the SU system. He is not a danger or disgrace to the university. Could you imagine having UNO and SUBR under the same umbrella? UNO is falling apart right now. With SUNO having a band program, and UNO having more sports programs, they could become a Div.II school and play in the SIAC or CIAA.
State officials are already discussing closing and merging some 4-year institutions
And for the record, he proposed merging JSU, Alcorn, and Valley to save the HBCU's. Better to have 1 large, united HBCU than to have 0. Ole Miss was no where in the deal.
Once merging begins it will start a ripple effect. Be careful of what you're in support of. Do you peeps seriously think LSU or the people of UNO for that matter would allow that? lmao
....wow...it was only a matter of time before those "merger" ideas came back up. smdh....and why does it have to be "FORMER PRESIDENT OF JSU" tied along with these negative ideas. I could have sworn this guy is SU PRESIDENT now...
