Directors

So, i'm doing a research paper for an online class that i'm taking and I was wondering if any of you would like to help me out. I have a set of interview questions that I am going to ask my director, but I figured if you guys don't mind awnsering them either, it would help me get some information for my paper. And I figured that theres nothing more credible than awnsers straight from the directors mouth. So here are the questions:When did you originally decide that you wanted to be a band director? How do you plan out a day for a music program? Is it different from most lesson plans, wherein they would simply say “turn to this page”?What does it really take to be mentally prepared for a day as a band director? How long did you have to go to school before you finally became a director? Are there any ways that your job intersects with other aspects of your life? What is the most satisfying part of your job?Has there ever been a time where you felt that your job was not worth what you had todeal with?As a director, you deal with high school students, what did you originally expect? How much if at all did your perceptions change? What part of being a band director do you least enjoy? How do you deal with that?
