in your opinionwould you like your director to become a specialist in all areas?[i.e. percussion, brass, woodwinds]or to understand all areas with a more major specialty in a single area?I believe it is already required that one know all of these but just in your minds as musicians what do you like in a director?

personally I'd rather have a more knowledge[d] brass instructor teach me how to play brass than a former woodwind who learned brass in a class [whether he/she is good or not] & vice versa
