i grew up listenin to marchin bands so of course i lik dem more but yah yu rite i started in a symphonic for 2 years nd i did learn more from but marchin band is way more fun nd a better experience to me
Man thats wats wrong with folks, you don't learn anything from marching band! Thats why when it comes time to trying to get into a good music program you end up in some booboo band because you loved marching band so much. I love symphonic band, you really get to show what you can do as a musician not as some fool who can blow a horn! You get a good marching band from a really good symphonic band, not the other way around!

DOES ANYBODY LIKE SYMPHONIC BAND BETTER THAN MARCHING BAND???
Considering the fact i wasn't that important during marching season...My get back was during symphonic season!...can you say that?..lol! Either way you can see aa lot of beast playing drums during the marching season, but the truth tells when you get inside that band room!
Truthfully the spring is what I live for and the fall is a plus, I would rather have my concert Euphonium in my hand playing something that sounds as challenging as it is beautiful over holding the school Marching Euphonium and blowing some mid level arrangement of a song that wasn't even band worthy, I get tired of 8 bar specials and long for those 7 page monsters I see in the spring. Try memorizing that isht lol. Test your ability as a musician to its limits.
Concert Band is where you perfect your craft as a musician....in order to be a proficient "marching band player" for lack of better words, one must be a decent concert band player.
