Have to give this to St Aug but i like the direction Carver is headed. I see the numbers are looking up for St Aug! Watch out for them during Mardi Gras. Keep working with the kids. The potential is there. Keep Working.
well it is very clear that carver has a great mello section. they sound way better than last year but at the same time the mellos are drowning the whole band out. carver sounds good but needs more balance
st augs version of this song sounds more like the radio version. and you can hear everyones parts (trombones, baritones, trumphets, etc). good job!!!
i think st aug played it better than carver. should anyone be suprised???
You got St. Aug band director on here doing a comparison on an arrangement with them and Carver???? Crazy ain't it. Tiller you should not let the world wide web know that other band programs are a threat to the "Living off Traditon St Augustine Marching 32 Band"
You know dude I was at St. Aug from 84-87 and all the years I was there I was told that we were living off the rep. Yet every clip on-line doing that era people give nothing but praise. The proof is in the video. Does the band sound clean? Are the arrangements nice? Are they over blowing? Are they not discipline? Do they not still do St. Aug. progressions? Ok so if your only problem with the band is that they are 90 strong instead of 150. Then thats cool, but our rep runs deep and I have yet to see a St. Aug. band as good as the 1983-84 band. With that said every St. Aug. band since then must have been living off their rep. LOL

The fact of the matter St. Augustine is living off tradition. Cool you march for the mid-80's St. Aug, so what. Yall wasn't the only band that exist in the N.O. during those days they were alot of other great bands too. Also there were bands during those times that had you guys (St. Aug) number.
I can tell you this yall living off tradition in the late 90's during my era. Everybody use to call St. Aug the parade season band cause that's the only time they was good. You must of forgot you boys use to bring music to the games. LOL.
But you shouldn't be checking me you should be checking the current band director wanting to compare a clip of a band that is trying to rebuild a program. What is his point of doing this?

Ok lol you sound a bit immature for me to continue this, because I never mentioned any other bands of the 80's. Kennedy and 35 had excellent programs back then. As far as bands having our number post your prof and back up your argument. Lol for every one you have I will post two of the Aug. On here if you are going to try to discredit The Aug all we are saying is that you better have some footage to back it up.
P.S. When SWD came down here in the late 90's for that BOTB it was St. Aug. as always that had to represent.
