I mean it is really only one marching season...they will be fine
i feel you.. now lets be real about something.. you think thats fair to a WHOLE band program when clearly everyone didn't know & didn't have anything to do with it?? not to mention them & their involvement in campus activities.. the surrounding community of schools.. FAMU's arms reach a long way. thats 1 of the most historic bands around & they aren't aloud to do ANYthing for a year.

Yea I think its fair cause you have to start from scratch in order to get rid of a bad INTERNAL problem you gonna have to wipe the program clean...I mean im sure the ones that werent involved would allowed back into the program but thats just business you gotta wipe it clean...it has been in the system so long
They might get that. But if they do return next year....like my patna said, all former members need to be disqualified to participate and perform. Real is real *Kanye Shruggs*
thats what i thinking

I thought they would have been done for 5 seasons. I hope ALL of our bands are looking at this and learning from this. Perhaps ALL of our bands should be putting "safe practices" in place in order to prevent from going through this same fate...or worse.
You see what FAMU is going through. Imagine what the next band COULD go through because some knuckleheads decided to break the law. I promise it wouldn't be pretty.
I just created a petition: National Band Organization, because I care deeply about this very important issue. Petitioning congress to sign into law that Recognizes MARCHING BAND is a sport. By doing this you open up Scholarships and Grants on the Federal, State and Local levels for public and private levels.
I'm trying to collect 500000 signatures, and I could really use your help.
To read more about what I'm trying to do and to sign my petition, click here: http://www.change.org/petitions/national-band-organization?share_id...
It'll just take a minute!
Once you're done, please ask your friends to sign the petition as well. Grassroots movements succeed because people like you are willing to spread the word!
Gregory, I am doing this in honor of the late Robert D Champion, Drum Major For Change! And Dr Julian E. White retirement! Hubba Doc
you got mine.. #RealLife.. my city planned on gettin this together this coming school year

I just saw the report on (OTL) on ESPN. Im just wondering how will this effect the classics this upcoming season. And what gets me the most is how they let non FAMU students participate with the band. But i really believe that the suspension should of been longer but hey . Let's this be a lesson to all HBCU and all other marching programs in this country that hazing will not be tolerated.
