ay just wondering our Director was talking about some people possibly going to it.Has anybody on here been and what is it like?I'm worried that because there are so many people that will go it's not going to be very individual is that true to an extent or am I just crazy? haha

Yeah, I've been there. It seems like a lot of work when you start. Just make sure to bing sunscreen, your gonna be in florida. And bug repellant. Famu got mosquitos the size of hailstones out on the patch. It great stuff. And, yeah, lots of people. There were 480 people there last time. We had 4 ranks of tubas. But theres concert band to. So if you want to do that, bring something to audtion with. If your in 9-10 you get put in orange band if you make concert band. 11-12 you get put in green band. The best people get put in honor band. You don't have to do concert band though. They have a pretty good jazz band to. Good stuff, but they only met like 3 or 5 times fro rehersal, but it was good stuff. They give scholarships to, so if your any good and plan on going up there, try to get noticed. Make freinds with the hundred. Thats important. If you do that, you'll know people when you get up there. It's always a good idea to know your section leader before you go.
you can do all 3 or just 1?

You would probably have to choose between concert and jazz band I think. I'm not sure. Mabye you do all three. I had no interest in jazz band, seince I play tuba.
