S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos knowing that administration's take on HBCUs. Now i know im late or whatever but my question is why do that?? When i graduated (From Grambling State University) had a good speaker that spoke to us and that everyone was ok with speaking. THIS is just foolishness. I have no idea what the president of the school was even thinking and yeah people wanna say "well Talledega went to the inauguration parade" ok but even from that the college received something (a little money and moderate exposure) but from this all Bethune Cookman is getting is mixed emotions, protests and a slight loss in revenue. Mixed emotions because people are happy their family and friends are graduating but at the same time upset that the person who will forever be associated with speaking at that celebration is not who they need to hear would have done better with a current felon than her. Protests because if they were able to get 50-60 thousand signatures in such a small time when other groups cant in a month or year then thats a clear sign of a NO from the majority. And the loss of revenue would be due to not as many people who would get the schools tshirts or any little trinkets and would be too busy being upset and protesting.

But thats just my view and opinion i know the students were planning to turn their back on the speaker but if they really wanna make a difference i say when she comes to the podium everyone takes a 15 min intervention in the halls or outside or even just out in the open pay her no mind and she will just walk away lol but ur plan is good and more classy. But my rant is over , questions comments concerns other evil ideas?

WHAT'S UP WITH BLOCK BAND?
